Infrared-light-therapy.com is a free resource offered by me, Meital James, to show you all the amazing health benefits and uses of red and infrared light therapy technology.
But first:
What is Light Therapy?
Light therapy (also known as phototherapy) is a natural treatment that works through exposure to daylight or to specific wavelengths of light using polychromatic polarized light, lasers, light-emitting diodes, fluorescent lamps, dichroic lamps, or very bright, full-spectrum light.
The treatment is done by administering the light for a prescribed amount of time each day or a few times a day.
This website is all about the red and infrared wavelength, which is scientifically proven to help with:
Wrinkles, skin aging, skin conditions (such as cellulite)
Acne and rosacea
And much, much more.
Who is Meital James?
I am a full-time healthy living blogger since 2008 and was always passionate about natural and healthy living. I have studied Naturopathy for 2 years at Reidman College in Israel, and I am a certified “Energy Washout” therapist (Dr. Nader Butto System)
The first blog I started was Natural-Alternative-Therapies.com – all about natural remedies and alternative medicine.
A few years ago I stumbled upon the incredible infrared therapy world, which helped me and my family heal various health problems – including chronic back pain.
I couldn’t keep the important information I learned through the years to myself, and I wanted to share it with everyone I know.
This was the reason I created this website.
The more I learn about infrared light therapy, the more benefits and jaw-dropping uses I find.
Today my home is packed with infrared products, including my best friend – the Biomat (in the picture above) – and also a LED face mask, an infrared body massager and I have even built my own infrared sauna at home – for less than $100 (DIY infrared sauna instructions)

I want to share all this science-backed information with you, and I truly hope you found it useful.
This website was built for you and for the community, as you can see many of my readers are posting comments and I answer each and every one of them. I would love to get your comment as well!
To your health and happiness,

I recently was diagnosed with PN in my feet and ankles. My toes are mostly numb and some stinging on feet and a little on ankles. What home use equipment would be best for me to use.
I cannot find any medical help that does this service locally (Kansas City)
Would like to stop the progression asap
Thank You
Gary, this post will show you the best options: https://www.infrared-light-therapy.com/infrared-light-therapy-neuropathy/
Thank you for all your time and research. I have a number of medical concerns and wonder which product, or combination of products you would recommend. I have tried a biomat, while visiting a spa, and I loved it.
Here’s what I’m dealing with. I have a TBI, SCI and severe nerve damage from being hit by a semi in 2003. I am a functional quadriplegic however I do experience periods of paralysis from the neck down. I have full body pain, but only on the right side, and have been taking pain medication for 15 years. As a result, I started loosing my hair.
I ended up at your site researching NIR helmets for hair regrowth. In the past, I have researched the saunas and even the potential of applying Infrared panels to the top of my canopy bed to create my own desert oasis; to relieve debilitating pain and get my body through winter. Most often I go to Arizona to Winter but it’s so expensive!
Do I need both the hair loss helmet and the sauna? Or will the sauna treat the hair loss too? Any recommendations you can give will
be greatly appreciated! Thank again!
Dee
Dee,
I think that an infrared sauna will be best for you. When you get all the healing benefits of detoxing in it, I’m sure it will treat your hair loss as well, and you won’t need the helmet. Here’s my post about how to build a low-EMF near infrared sauna at home – for less than $100: https://www.infrared-light-therapy.com/build-your-own-infrared-sauna/
